According to the CHP Log, they were unable to repair the truck blocking 94 between Dulzura and Tecate. 2-way traffic control is in effect using the EB lane.
Donnie Durfee sent along this troubling information:
The last two nights they’ve been moving this HUGE piece of machinery. Last night they only got about 100 yards. When they are moving it they shut down the highway.Luckily, they were able to get it close enough to the edge to allow traffic by in the EB lanes. They trailer is literally against the bank on the WB side of the road.
Closures of our major evacuation route without notice would create a very dangerous situation in the event of evacuation. Fires happen at all hours, and we ARE in the middle of a very dicey Season.
Any info about this is very appreciated.
