CONTROL BURN & SMOKE TO THE EAST:
50 acres near Corte Madera. Thanks for the heads’ up, Coral, (who called to check on the smoke plume).
Our Deerhorn Weather Guru, Bill Stevens, is in the hospital for bypass surgery today. He is expected to make a fine recovery, but I know he and Vicki will appreciate the good thoughts and prayers headed their way. Bill called from the hospital this morning before surgery and got a pep talk from Rob… who had a quadruple bypass more than 20 years ago. To hear Rob talk, you’d think EVERYONE should have one!
See you soon, Bill! Best wishes from us all for a speedy and full recovery!
HOOPER FAMILY HOUSE FIRE…
I’ve been getting some questions about sizes, needs etc. I have heard that they are in a fully furnished place, so have no real immediate needs for items, and are probably still taking inventory and seeing where things are at. I will keep you posted, and thanks for all the offers. The best person to answer questions is probably their neighbors, Nick Baldwin at 619 322 5921; his parents live a/c the street: Larry and Julia Baldwin 619 445 9806
I have collected a couple of gift cards (Target, etc.) that I will get to them. I know that is always useful, and can be used later on when things have settled a bit.
DOG FOR ADOPTION:
Ruth Baak (Beacon Hill Llama Farm) is fostering a healthy 8 year old Great Pyrenees fixed female and is looking for a good home for her. . These are big white dogs who are great lookouts for llamas, sheep, and goats. If you think you might be interested, give Ruth a call at 468-3074.
Happy New Year 2012, Everyone!
