If a disastrous event overwhelms or delays the community’s professional response, CERT
members can assist others by applying the basic response and organizational skills that they
learned during training. These skills can help save and sustain lives following a disaster until
professional help arrives.

The CERT training will be held in Jamul. The classes themselves are free.
The schedule will go as follows:

July 13, Friday Disaster Preparedness 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

July 14, Saturday Fire Safety 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Medical Operations (Part 1) 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Medical Operations (Part 2) 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM

July 19, Thursday CERT Organization 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

July 20, Friday Terrorism and CERT 6:30 PM – 8:15 PM

Disaster Psychology 8:15 PM – 9:00 PM
July 21, Saturday Search and Rescue 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Disaster Drill/Simulation 12:15 PM – 3:00 PM
Test and Graduation 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
