Up to $2,048 per Eligible Parcel

Because of our location and proximity to the Powerlink Transmission Lines
nearly all parcels with houses in DV qualify for this grant.
The application process is easy either online or by mail.

A representative from the SDG&E PowerLink Grants Office will be here to describe this year’s program and answer your questions.

DEFENSIBLE SPACE
THINNED & MAINTAINED LANDSCAPE – NOT BARE GROUND
 
ALLOWED
LABOR TO MOW – PRUNE -  THIN -TRIM – WEED- PLANT
RENTING EQUIPMENT – UP TO $500 DROUGHT TOLERANT, LOW GROWING PLANTS
UP TO $200 WEED CONTROL PRODUCTS
APPROVED ADDRESS SIGNS*
NOT ALLOWED
BUYING EQUIPMENT, IRRIGATION, GRAVEL, ROCK, CEMENT, PAVERS, MULCH, FERTILIZER, SOD, ANIMALS, GRADING, BUYING TREES.
STRUCTURE HARDENING
USE APPROVED FIRE-SAFE MATERIALS FOR REPLACING ROOFTOPS, WINDOWS, DOORS, EAVE BOXING, ATTIC VENTS, DECKS.  MUST TREAT ENTIRE DECK OR ROOF.
 
MAXIMUM GRANT AMOUNT: $2,048
ONE APPLICATION ONLY: Defensible Space OR Structure Hardening (not both)
