Neighbors report it was Circle J’s barn that burned down, Some, but not all, animals were rescued. At one point the structure, surrounded by a corral-type fence was fully involved with flames upwards of 30 feet. The wind was blowing hard toward the west, and a spot fire ignited downwind in the vegetation. Firefighters were on the upwind side, and it was several minutes before they got hoses around onto the spotfire. Close call.

Wind gusts at the time were clocked at 25-27 mph with 7% humidity. Approximately 5-6 units were on-scene including at least one water-tender.

Stay safe.
