SATURDAY MORNING 6/9/12
MOTHER GRUNDY TRUCK TRAIL
MAILBOXES OPENED AND EMPTIED
A neighbor just stopped by and said that most of the mailboxes along MGTT, both upper and lower, have their doors gaping and are empty. She and her husband noticed last Thursday that they had received no mail although they were expecting some important deliveries. They notified the Post Office and the senders. Today as she checked her box, located in the bank of mailboxes near MGTT and Temple Trail, she saw that all were wide open and emptied. The bank of boxes at MGTT and Deerhorn Valley Rd were also open and empty. As she drove down Honey Springs, she also notice other groups of mailboxes in the same state, including the large bank at the bottom of Lower MGTT
Many years ago we experienced something similar, and the perpetrators were not caught. his time, with everyone on the lookout, we can hopefully put an end to this. Thieves know that rural residents have many items delivered via USPS: prescriptions, NetFlix, checks, etc.
Please report suspicious behavior to the Sheriff’s Office. We have two local resident sheriffs, Enrique and Dane, right here in Deerhorn who will investigate and be on the lookout.
